Modus today released Powerwise 2012, the latest version of their award winning PC power management software. "We've re-written the whole interface which was a massive undertaking. Using feedback from our customers we've updated the console to make features easier to find, understand and use" said Andrew Crockford, head of development at Modus.

The primary enhancements to the console are:

  • Summary Dashboard:  The primary interface is now a summary of details for the whole system.  This should make it easier to see the overall actions Powerwise is taking across the system.

  • Revised layout:  Each page now has summary details at the top, and any relevant options immediately available.

  • Merged the Admin & Console executable:  All options are now available from a single interface, with different functionality being available depending on your security rights.

  • Brand new Push-installation Wizard: The remote 'Push' installation wizard has been completely re-written to make it more effective across all scenarios.

The price of Powerwise has not increased with this new version and customers with software maintenance have access to this new release with immediate effect via the automatic online update feature.
